Welcome, and thank you for visiting my website.

My name is Kathryn Burgess and a few years ago, I moved from Norfolk to Cornwall. Before this, 20+ busy years in education had left little time to be creative, although I have always been fascinated by colours, patterns and shapes. 

My lovely cousin encouraged me to start painting and, suddenly, I was in 'the right place at the right time' to explore this newfound interest. Very quickly it became my 'happy place'! 

My art involves a combination of acrylic paints and a range of methods (+ just a hint of alchemy!) to move the paint over stretched canvases to create intriguing, unique pieces of art.  Like many artists here in Cornwall, many of my ideas are inspired by the natural sights I see around the gorgeous Cornish coastlines; these are often reflected in the names I choose for my artwork.

I have a number of pieces of artwork for sale and am very happy to discuss commissions based on your individual size and colour preferences.
